LEARN TO SAIL AT
St. Thomas Sailing Center
Our commitment is to provide the best sailing education available at any level of experience. Our course curricula have been honed over 40 years to exceed the standards of US Sailing Certification, which we also offer. Our instructors, our fleet and the fact that you will be sailing in the warm crystal waters of the Caribbean will make your sailing courses here the experience of a lifetime.
THE FLEET
Our Learn to Sail and Advanced courses are taught on IC-24s, which are among the most comfortable, responsive and stable performance keelboats anywhere. They are perfect for daysailing and racing. Our Hobie Waves are sure to make you smile.
Our Cruising Courses are taught on a Hanse 385, a spacious, performance cruiser/racer with a self-tacking jib.
Our Instructors
We consider our teaching staff to be one of our greatest resources. Each instructor has been carefully selected for those qualities which make top-notch instructors. They are friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable in sailing. Most importantly they have a passion for sailing and a love of sharing that passion with others.
CERTIFICATION
We offer optional US Sailing Certification from Basic Keelboat through Bareboat Cruising.
Our Venue
Among the things that make sailing here unique among all other sailing venues is the fact that the wind almost always blows from the East between 10 and 20 knots. It is extremely rare that there is ever a day when there is not enough wind to sail. Of course with winter air temperature of 84 deg. and water temperature of 78 deg. it really is one of the best places to sail on the planet.
