This 6-day immersive course will take you from keelboat training to confidently skippering up to a 51-foot cruising catamaran. Designed for sailors who want to charter or cruise multihulls, this course combines classroom sessions, keelboat foundations, and liveaboard catamaran training in the stunning waters of St. Thomas and St. John.

The first two days focus on essential sailing skills, beginning with morning classroom sessions at STYC and afternoon training aboard the IC-24 keelboats. By day three, you will set sail aboard the Fountaine-Pajot Astrea 42 Catamaran; your liveboard classroom for the next four days and three nights. Here, you will learn all onboard systems, boat handling under sail and power, advanced maneuvers, and seamanship skills unique to cruising catamarans.

The final day will bring you back to STYC for docking practice and boat checkout procedures ensuring that you are ready to take the helm with confidence.

This courses requires a minimum of four students.
Courses without four students ninety days out from the start date will be rescheduled.
